I wanted to try out digital tools in my creative process and bring a bit of 3D into my paintings, as well as an “object design” dimension, to go further than the canvas. The first dimension is acrylic on canvas, with motifs painted in the classic manner. In the second layer, a laser-cut sheet of fine wood with the same motif, and finally the 3rd dimension, an engraved Plexiglas sheet with the same motif. The whole is assembled with gaps, allowing for light effects, shadows and three-dimensional effects once the painting is mounted on the wall.
